Koko Joi was born from love, loss, and the powerful ways we stay connected to the people who shape us. In 2024, after losing two of my best friends—my brother and cousin, whose laughter, warmth, and love of music filled every room—I searched for a way to honor them and keep their presence close. I began making candles while playing our favorite songs, finding comfort in the ritual. Our shared love of music and atmosphere became the foundation of something healing, something intentional.
